U.S. Army Rangers

The U.S. Army Ranger minifigure by Italianminifig is sold complete with the typical M1 helmet with a "2" printed on the back inside an orange rhombus, symbol of the 2nd Ranger Battalion.

The Ranger uniform by Italianminifig, rich in details and printed at 360° on an original Lego, is the one of the special military unit established in 1942 by the U.S. Army, inspired by the British Commandos. 

During the Second World War, the Rangers were trained to conduct raids, amphibious landings, wide-ranging patrols and front-line attacks, using highly advanced combat tactics.

In Europe the Rangers were used in the main war operations in which the United States was involved: from the Dieppe raid to the Battle of Normandy and the Italian campaign. These special military units were also used in North Africa, in Operation Torch and in the Tunisian campaign, but also on the Pacific front in the Philippine campaign.

The Rangers battalions used in the Second World War were disbanded at the end of the war. Their spirit and traditions, however, are still present today in the 75th Ranger Regiment of the United States Army.
