The Italianminifig Bersagliere minifigure is sold with a typical plumed pith helmet and a Mod. 91/38 musket. The uniform, rich in details and 360° printed on an original Lego, is a dispatch rider uniform of Bersaglieri motorcyclists, engaged in the African Campaign during the early 1940s.

Proposed by General La Marmora, the Bersaglieri corps was established in 1836 to carry out exploration services and particularly daring missions. The reason why they are called "Bersaglieri" lies in the fact that the first soldiers who entered the newly established corps were specialized in shooting with sniper rifles.

A Bersagliere can wear a hat, a pith helmet or a classical helmet, but, in any case, it’s a feathered headdress. The plumage is the distinctive trait of the Bersaglieri corps and its use is due to camouflage needs.

Throughout their long history, the Bersaglieri have always shown great skills and dedication. Over time, the Corps has benefited from important innovations, such as the creation of the cyclist battalions in 1910 or the placement in the armoured, motorized and rapid divisions during the Second World War.

From the Capture of Rome in 1870 to the War of Italian Liberation from Nazi-fascism, to the most recent military missions abroad, the Bersaglieri have always been great protagonists of Italian history.
