The 21st regiment "Trieste" artilleryman minifigure by Italianminifg is the reproduction of one of the soldiers who were part of the motorized artillery, employed in North Africa between '41 and '43 by the Royal Italian Army.

The uniform is studied in detail and is printed at 360° on original Lego, just as the arms and the short sleeves of the blouse: the print also covers the inside of the arms! It may seem like just a detail, but it represents a real challenge for production department  that makes the minifigure rare and precious.

Italianminifg’s modeling department has designed and 3D printed the cap included in the sales package. The "IM" brand certifies its originality and exclusivity.

The regiment was formed in 1888, but, previously, with the pre-existing units it took part in the Wars of Independence, the Crimean War, the capture of Rome and, later, as the 21st, it participated in the campaigns of Eritrea and Libya.

At the outbreak of the Great War, the artillery of the Trieste was employed on the battlefield until the final victory.

In the Second World War, after fighting on the Alpine front and in Albania, the regiment was deployed in North Africa: after twenty months of bloody battles, it was literally consumed by the enemy and, finally, disbanded in May 1943.

The tenacity, honor and heroism demonstrated on the battlefield earned the regiment a war medal: the gold medal for military valor.
