The Normandy battle

The Erwin Rommel and Bernard Law Montgomery minifigures by Italianminifig are the reproduction of the two famous generals who competed on opposing fronts during the Second World War.

The Erwin Rommel minifigure is sold complete with an officer's peaked cap and the Bernard Law Montgomery minifigure comes with a black beret with Royal Tank Regiment emblem. The uniforms are rich in detail and printed 360° on Lego originals.

The two generals faced each other in multiple battles. Each represented a turning point in the outcome of the war. Rommel, the famous German officer nicknamed the Desert Fox, and Montgomery, the equally famous British general, had already clashed in North Africa in the early 1940s. Operation Overlord, in 1944, brought them back face to face on the Caen plain, consigning them to history.
